Schengen is a winemaking village in Luxembourg, at the border of Germany and France. The treaty to abolish border controls in Europe was signed here.
Ruth Stoltenberg grew up in this border triangle in the 1960s-1970s and was interested in which impact the opening of the borders had on the different cultures and habits of the three nations after such a long time.
